Our Story…

TheSalesCycle was born in 2023, during a wave of tech layoffs that forced a hard look at how people and companies actually create value.

What started as an effort to help experienced sellers navigate interviews quickly revealed a deeper issue. Talented people weren’t struggling because they lacked skill or experience—they were struggling because they couldn’t consistently tell a clear value story that moved decisions forward. Drawing on decades of enterprise sales experience at companies like IBM, Box, and Salesforce, those early conversations exposed a pattern that extended far beyond individual job searches.

As seller conversations turned into conversations with founders and revenue leaders, the pattern became impossible to ignore. Most sales teams weren’t failing on strategy; they were failing on execution. Enablement stopped at decks, workshops, and one-time training, while teams scaled without a shared standard. A few A players carried the number, everyone else operated differently, and the gap between the best and the average quietly became the ceiling on revenue..

We soon realized we had tapped into something bigger.

TheSalesCycle evolved to solve that problem. What began as a podcast helping sellers approach interviews like a sales cycle, resonating quickly with thousands of early listeners —became something more durable. We don’t deliver frameworks and disappear. We stay for a year, working with the people you have and the people you’ll hire next to build a common language for discovering, framing, and selling value. The goal is simple: turn B players into A players by design, not hope.
